At the Solar Arts community, we’re all about spreading the love. We believe that the power of art can create greater understanding, and the beauty of art can add more love to our world.
It’s no wonder then, that we jumped at the chance to bring The Smooch! Project to Northeast Minneapolis! This wonderful project aims to collect 10,000 photographs of the “affectionately inclined” for an exhibition-quality online gallery. The goal? “To bring a little happiness and understanding to a grumpy world — one smooch at a time.”
When you join us at our First Thursday this February 7th, as always, there will be meaningful and beautiful art from the Solar Arts tenants available to browse and purchase. This month though, make sure to bring your loved ones and let a professional smooch-ographer capture a picture that helps tell the world about the power of love.
To top it all off, Thursday night will feature a live performance by Sound Art duo Beatrix*JAR. Their one-of-a-kind sound, and dynamic, interactive performance style is a can’t miss.
