Owners Duane and Larry were awe-struck when they first saw the nearly 100 year old building.
Immediately aware of the building’s potential, they decided to bring it up to date in a way that reflected their values and their appreciation for Northeast Minneapolis’s Arts District. They set off with the goal of turning the historic building into a modern, environmentally friendly hub for Minneapolis’ creative community.
They retained the historic character of the building – with it’s well-worn wood and cast iron – and renovated it using only the most eco-friendly materials and equipment. They then topped the whole thing off – literally – with 109 solar panels to let the sun power the pure creativity of its tenants.
Those tenants include over a dozen artists and creative professionals, Indeed Brewing Company, and a great event space to play host to Northeast Minneapolis’s thriving arts scene.
