Into The Light August 13-14
In order for the light to shine brightly, the darkness must be present. Artist Lori Miller presents a new series of works that explores how finding balance between white and black can awaken the most thought-provoking colors.

Lori Ann Miller, is the Founder/Principal of both “Lori Miller Art” , and Lori Miller Daycare Child Development (opened in 2002) with each business located in Rochester, Minnesota. She is a native of Albert Lea, MN, having graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1984, and then pursued her studies at the Southeastern Academy of Travel/Tourism in Kissimmee, Florida, in the Business/Travel program.
Lori Miller was formerly employed with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota from 1985 – 2001, working as a tour guide, in general services, radiology, and in physical therapy transportation. She is the former 2006 “Mrs. Rochester, MN”, and subsequently was in the top 5 for the “Mrs. Minnesota America Pageant” in 2006.
More recently, she was nominated and placed on the list by the Southeastern Minnesota Visual Artists Board (SEMVA), to become one of the Council’s upcoming featured artists, joining a long list of S.E. Minnesota’s most distinguished, up-and-coming new talents in the local art world. She is renowned for her paintings of Abstract and Still Life artwork, which are currently on display at the Canvas & Chardonnay Art Center, and within the Gallery On 1st, both located in Rochester. Lori Miller Art selections are also displayed within the Prairie Wind Coffee Gallery in Albert Lea, MN.
She will be the featured artist hosting a series of painting seminars this summer at various Southeastern Minnesota art centers including the Canvas & Chardonnay Art Center, and at the new C4 – Creative Salon Facility, both located in Rochester, MN. She can also be found at other music and art festivals, as well as participating in teaching selected painting classes, at a series of smaller music & art festivals, which pair local artists with several of the area businesses, within southeastern Minnesota during the summer of 2013.
