Christi Furnas is a queer, self-taught cartoonist, illustrator, and oil painter. She has exhibited in galleries across Minnesota such as Soo Visual Arts Center, Rochester Arts Center and Rosalux Gallery. In 2017, she had work in a group show of graphic novelists at the Undercurrent Project, in Manhattan. In 2016, Christi was awarded a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant to work on a graphic narrative exploring her experiences with mental illness. Her mini-comic, Crazy Like a Fox: Adventures in Schizophrenia has sold locally, nationally and internationally. She currently lives and creates in Minneapolis with her wife, two cats and dog.
